Design a music strategy to attract and engage a new generation of fans to the national sports competition.

Overview

We designed and delivered a music program that integrated with the game format, making sure it was delivered at a consistently high standard across every city.

At the same time we worked with all clubs to make sure the playlists aligned with the target audience at each event. This included employing strategies to control crowd behaviour and unite supporters from rival teams.

Insight

Creating an engaging and interactive program to drive audience participation adds significant value to the BBL format and fan engagement consistently drops without it.

Music assets are now synonymous with the game. They are used successfully as a motivational tool that attracts sponsors and influences brands, broadcasters and streaming platforms. It’s also high level exposure for music artists and a significant part of the day’s entertainment.

CURATing PLAYLISTS PERFORMED TO OVER 1.7 MILLION PEOPLE EACH SEASON IN STADIUMS ACROSS AUSTRALIA for more than 10 years.

Whoever picks the music at these games has a great knowledge of all genres. I don’t know if I enjoyed the match or music more!
