The client required a live music producer to join the team and perform at two finals matches for the 2019 finals series. We curated playlists based on key moments and prepared a music program of energetic, fun and dramatic music stings to add excitement and movement to the on-field battle between teams.
Recognising the achievements of both teams was the key and we celebrated with fans each time their team scored. Then we added specific music stings to build tension and drama at significant moments.
Musically, we layered genre styles with vocal and instrumental sections of well-known songs. Rhythmic music with strong ‘tribal’ themes such as rock and hip hop definitely complemented the intensity and physical contact that makes rugby such a compelling game.
